Established 30 years ago, Shimco is a leading shim and small parts manufacturer for manufacturing industries like Defence, Aerospace, Medical, and more. It started as a manufacturer, but over time, it became the technology leader with best-in-class manufacturing capabilities. Shimco supplies its small parts products for initial assembly as well as for maintenance needs. It started using high-tolerance horizontal lathes and CNC milling machines for manufacturing parts as per customer demand. The performance of Shimco's current NAV version is not satisfactory at all in terms of inventory management and valuation. They urgently needed to implement a new ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) solution to manage the departments like inventory, finance, manufacturing, and supply chain.

Shimco was not satisfied with the functions and capabilities of NAV to manage the accounting needs. This issue was affecting the overall performance of the department.

They were facing difficulties in tracking time of employees on the shop floor.

The current NAV version of Shimco makes it difficult for them to collect the supply chain and inventory data. If the data is available, they cannot collect it in real-time.

They were using an unreliable third-party solution that empowers manufacturers to measure, analyze, and share production information.

Dynamics Square upgraded and implemented the ERP of Shimco from NAV2013 to Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central Cloud.


Microsoft D365 Business Central enabled the users of Shimco to run and manage the entire business from anywhere and 24/7 with the cloud deployment of servers.


This new ERP helped the company manage and supervise the accounting tasks without issues or lags.


To track the time of employees, we developed a custom Time Collection Module and integrated it with the Business Central.


We replaced their third-party solution that empowers manufacturers to our custom development solution and integrated it with our Time Collection Module.
